Wind, ice
and hundreds of kilometres of space
Snowkiting is the fastest way to learn to fly a kite. Soft snow, steady wind and the endless ice of the Gulf of Finland and Lake Ladoga.
Faster to learn on snow
Endless space
The Gulf of Finland and Lake Ladoga — hundreds of kilometres of smooth ice with no obstacles.
Softer than water
Falls on snow are noticeably easier than on water. Faster progress, less fear.
Steady wind
In winter the wind over the ice is smoother and more predictable than over the gulf in summer.
A short path
Basic skills in 6–8 hours — about 1.5× faster than kitesurfing.

FAQ
Do I need to know how to snowboard or ski?
Ideally — at least confident on a green run. If you're starting from zero, we'll begin on skis: they're easier to handle under a kite.
Isn't it cold?
Moving under the kite warms you up quickly. You need layers, a ski jacket and pants, a balaclava. We can advise on a kit.
When is the season?
Usually from late December to early March. It depends on when the ice forms on the gulf. We adjust the schedule to the weather.
Where do you teach?
Main spots — Dubki, Zelenogorsk, the southern shore of Lake Ladoga. We pick the exact point based on the day's wind.
